I have a special passion for painting old buildings. Whether they are grand old homes, rickety barns, log cabins or deserted hotels, they all have stories to tell. I strive to renew their lives in watercolor. My paintings are honest, and perhaps, the last recordings of buildings that will soon be gone forever.
Growing up in Southern Idaho, I developed a love for old buildings while exploring the vacant mining towns and old homesteads there. Now, a long time resident of Sandpoint, I live where the beauty of my surroundings serves as inspiration for paintings of landscapes and historic buildings. Generally, my work begins with photographs and I strive for photographic precision tempered with a touch of the watercolor brush. My work is displayed at Northwest Handmade and my home studio “Mountain Mist Watercolors”.
