Silk paintings are a particular passion for Janene. “The free spirit expressionism of mixing the colors right on the silk is exhilarating,” she says. “Watching paint dry on silk is exciting because it changes, it moves. It embraces your soul; it’s mesmerizing like watching flames in the fire.” Janene also paints in oils and gouache.
